Recorded in March 1966. Bennys second song,
as composer. The song was voted to the firstplace
on the ten-top-chart on 9th of April 1966 and it
kept the position for six weeks. Sunny Girl became
Bennys break-through as composer. The song
made him believe on himself as a composer. Åke
Gerhard, the manager of the band saw a great
potential in Benny, as he was also a great composer
at the time. Sunny Girl was released outside of
Sweden on Decca label. The song was played
frequently on Radio Luxemburg and scored fourth
on the dutch top-chart. A quarrel between the record
labels ended The Hep Stars future releasing outside
Sweden and probably also their career abroad.
